Product Spotlight: Orbital Express Truss Exhibits

You could almost say Orbital Express Truss Exhibits are the larger than life, grown up version of k’nex. Like the toy, these exhibits feature a fixed number of simple parts and connectors that allow for various display options. These parts can be easily assembled without tools.

These displays are considered modular, which means they can be reconfigured into other displays! So what exactly does that mean? If you aren’t quite sure you want to jump right into the 20’ x 20’ Orbital Truss world, the 10’ x 10’ is perfect! Once you realize how much you love the display, you can buy separate graphics and parts that will connect seamlessly with your

already existing 10’ x 10’. Or you could do the opposite as well. If you have a larger show with a larger booth for your 20’ x 20’ display, but want to branch out to smaller shows, just simply pull parts from the 20’ x 20’ to create a 10’ x 10’ or 10’ x 20’ display. Truss exhibits are one of the most versatile displays GLM Displays has to offer.

With any product, there are pros and cons for the Orbital Express Truss Exhibits. The exhibits have ample space to allow you to showcase your product.  You can add literature racks, tables, shelves, and monitors as you would like. Other trade show displays have these accessories built in and you aren’t given the freedom to add or remove accessories easily.

If you look at the construction of the displays, you will notice how durable and sturdy the foundation is. Another pro for the Truss Exhibits would be the freedom to customize a display to fit perfectly with your exhibit booth/space. You can pick out parts from multiple stock displays to create a one of a kind exhibit, without the cost that generally goes with a fully custom piece.

Because of the exposed hardware, many people consider this as an industrial-style display.  Panels are typically narrow with a 6 inch gap, causing a break in the message or branding. Where this works for some industries, it might not be the proper fit for others.

This is not your average trade show display. The parts are very large and require a large amount of space for storage. This might not be the right option for you if you don’t have a warehouse, or a facility that has, not only the capabilities to store the exhibit, but move it as well. You will need a forklift and possibly a loading dock to get the display from Point A to Point B. For businesses that already have the space and equipment to move this, this may not be a concern for them. Speaking of size, you will not be able to ship this display through regular mailing channels. The truss will need to be shipped as freight, which can be expensive. There is also more time and labor required to set up the display, and for 20’ x 20’ displays, you will need the proper equipment to assemble the top of the display.

In a nutshell, the Orbital Express Truss is a modular display with many features and benefits along with some special considerations:

- Bold look works for both retail and industrial businesses

Cons:
